Roy has worked with me since the very first play I did in New York 35 years ago, more than 35 years ago. The first film that we did together was Sophie’s choice, and he has designed every woman and one man, in “Angels in America”, that I’ve played every year since then. And two nights ago, together with Mark Coulier who is a brilliant, British prosthetics designer, Roy won his first award, the BAFTA for make up and hair, and I want him to stand up and take applause tonight. “
